Master Gardener Program

Plant-a-Row

The UC Master Gardeners Plant-a-Row program in Mariposa County promotes donations of produce from growers and home gardeners to share with our community. Donations directly serve those with limited access to fresh fruits and vegetables. 

Drop offs may be made at the Master Gardener Booth at the Farmer's Market between May and October (Wednesdays 4:30-6:30 pm)

Growing Garlic

Fall and winter is the time to let your garlic grow to be harvested in early to mid-summer. Although the weather is getting cold here in the foothills, we often have periods of warmer weather, so if you missed your November planting of garlic, you still have an opportunity. Join the UC Master Gardeners of Mariposa County and Wasuma Elementary School for "Lessons in the Garden." These short lessons for K-8 students are a welcome addition to any school garden program.
